Equine Photographers Network will hold Retreat and Workshops in
Virginia
www.equinephotographers.net will be sponsoring a Retreat and Equine
Photography Workshops in Warrenton, Virginia in April 2005. Virginia's Hunt
Country is a horsemen's paradise with rolling hills, stone walls and scenic
views.

feature hands on workshops as well as business speakers and local vendors.
Working photographers, equine or otherwise, will want to mark their
calendars for this great opportunity.

Professional as well as amateur equine photographers may join EPNet and
attend the retreat. There will be four days packed with photo shoots
covering a wide variety of opportunities. Top horse and rider models are
slated to appear along with professional trainers and handlers including
Bucky Reynolds on conformation and Tracy Mullen and Jonelle Mullen-Stern on
show hunters. Photographers will be broken into small groups for mini
sessions with mentor photographers.

including John Strassburger from Chronicle of the Horse will join Susan
Sexton for a roundtable discussion on editing and submitting photos. Kim
Vickrey, professor of Graphic Design at Arkansas State University, will
present a roundtable Visual Thinking for Photography and Design.
EPNet members will offer an open discussion focusing on specific types of
equine photography. Featured guest speakers will be Photographer & Author,
Jim Pickerell and John Harrington from EP Editorial Outreach. Equipment
vendors and demonstrations are also planned. The Saturday program is open to
non-members.
