I have recently aquired an abandoned and abused mare. Her name is Jenna, she is 12 years and she twitches constantly when we just walk her. She seems to protect herself by coming at us with her teeth, luckily she hasnt bitten anyone yet. We are trying to aclamate her to her new surroundings first and then be kind to her, any help in direction as to help her come along and trust would be appreciated. She was made to ride and i dont think she liked her owner, they only rode her 2 or 3 times out of the year. They had since she was a colt so this is going to be a long process Im sure, Any moral support is much appreciated. I just did not have the heart to send her to the bad place where horses go when theve been misunderstood. And i really know she wants to love someone and trust them to do her no harm. My love for my first horse Rocky got me totally convinced that this is the direction my path need be traveled, If I could save them all I would.
