I too have used RJ horse transport many times. I THOUGHT they were fabulous. I had a mare hauled from Oklahoma to California, January 2008. This mare had been hauled extensively through many states many times with no issues. I got a call from the hauling company the day they were to haul her. It seems they got about 20 minutes into the haul, and they said the mare went absolutely balistic. They ended up calling the people I got her from to pick her up and take her back home. In the mean time. he said there was some damage to the trailer I would have top pay for. He figured it was about $150, worth of damage. Well, hauling my mare from OK to CA was to cost $650. Guess how much the trailer cost to fix? $678.00! he kept my whole payment for hauling the mare. When I asked repeatedly for receipts, he does not return call emails or anything. It has been over 3 months, and I dont expect to ever hear from him. beware of good freindly kind people. Makes me sad.
