A DOT number does NOT necessarily mean they are a good hauler!!!!!!!!!! There are a lot of GOOD "back yard " haulers as some of the uppitys like to call them.........that do not have DOT numbers. THe DOT regulations are a little cloudy on who does or doesn't need them. Your best defense is references.
