Posted by Jenny on 8/13/2006, 1:11 pm Please don't fall for someone spouting a bunch of titles. Those of us who have earned a few rarely use them unless we need them as a discriptor for something official. If I ended all of my emails with all the titles I could technically claim I'd look like a moron, an egomaniac, or possibly both. If I was writing a newspaper article or ordering business cards I'd pull out "Reverend" because it's descriptive of my job and the work/training I've completed. On the SSC message board I sign off as "Priestess, Star and Spiral Coven" so that someone reading my message knows who I am and why I am posting or answering a post. If I'm introducing myself to you I'm not going to hit you with a list of titles because I don't need you to be impressed by me so I can feel important or like I'm worth something. A person who starts off with a list of aliases, goes on to "king" and takes it from there probably needs *you* so he can feel important. The first thing you should ask yourself is "What does he want from me that I wouldn't be willing to give anyone else?"

I just kicked a second person out of Star and Spiral for misrepresenting himelf. Not necessarily to the coven, rather he was telling a young woman that he was some kind of king witch and high priest. When I confronted him he lied to me about it. I know this because the young woman forwarded his message to me when I questioned her. So he was booted for lying--to me and to her.
