I think HUC needs to have a Safety Council, of some kind to oversee Safe DRIVING Practices. We are getting WAY too much BAD Publicity on Careless Drunk Drivers around Grand Island. I had someone comment to me in McDonalds last week, and it wasn't good... If someone sees a HUC member Speeding, running a Stop Sign, Driving & talking on a Cell phone, Eating while Driving OR doing ANY Illegal acts, while Driving, LIKE doing a STOP and GO, on the Highway... They could report it to the Council and this HUC Member could be Excluded from the Membership....We are not only Driving for Fun....but also for Safety and GOOD Publicity....OH ! SILLY ME! WE Already HAVE a Safety Council...TO oversee SAFE DRIVING : It's CALLED the POLICE DEPT. WELL THEN ! How about a Safety Council of somekind, to Oversee Safe Flying Practices...What's that, You say ? they ALREADY HAVE ONE...Called the FAA...OH! Silly Me!
I had ENVISIONED Myself being on THIS Safety Council, WEARING A BADGE, and Telling EVERY HUC Member HOW to DRIVE THEIR CAR, and EVERY HUC MEMBER HOW to FLY THEIR PLANE ...THAT THEY PAID FOR.... OH ! SILLY ME ! ....
