Posted by Marty ............... The Launch Code program is just that, a program designed to advise the airsports pilot of forecasted wind directions, wind speeds, sky conditions, temperature, elevation of cloud base, visibility, chance of rain, and the chance of a thunderstorm. It also offers current conditions, animated current radar, animated current satellite images, and a link to the nearest Winds Aloft forecast for each station. The forecast data comes directly from the National Weather Service Aviation web site & the National Aeronautics and Space Administration web site. The data is as reliable as any source out there. The Launching Code program takes this information and reformats the raw data into a graphical and legible format. With over 1000 locations across the country to choose from including Hawaii and Alaska, and with the ability to search for the nearest station with latitude and longitude, you can probably find a Launch Code station near you." I heard about this web site that has some good weather information on it. It's from Airsports.net
Below is what they say about their page. To visit the page ...just click on the link below the image.
"When it comes to specialized weather forecasting, we have all heard of school cast, golf cast, and storm cast to name a few. But have you ever heard of a Launch Cast?
