Posted by Marty Nissen They are Duracell NIMH 1800 MAH that sell for .84¢ each plus shipping. I called them today, and they estimated the shipping and handling fee would be around $10 for 20 AA batteries. With With shipping cost, that comes to about $1.35 each Total. I know a lot of guys use AA batteries in their aviation radios, or GPS, FRS, or I plan to order 12 for myself, plus whatever orders I get. I will place my order @ 9:00AM on Friday (August 22nd), so if you would like to go in on a bulk battery purchase please e-mail me with your order before then. I will just divide the total price by the number of batteries and figure a price per battery. I told Dave that I can have them shipped to Hastings if he wants, and you can make arrangements to pick them up from him. I will just put them on my credit card. For payment, I will only accept cash or paypal, and you can pick them up from Dave after you pay See the link below for more info. MCM Part No. 58-7740 Link: ** http://mcm.newark.com **

During ANUG I had mentioned to a few folks about purchasing some Nickel-Metal Hydride (NIMH)batteries on line through
MCM Electronics. To save on shipping cost, we would put in a "bulk order" for as many batteries
as we wanted to buy.
that said
I think that is still a good deal compared to what I found on line. I have seen some stores selling them for $4.00 each, or $16 for a 4 pack.
whatever. I asked them if they carry any other sizes besides AA, and they said "not at this time".
him or myself.
