Wow wait to start the year, we had had 1to2 inches of freezing rain the night before,ice every were. Of course we were with out power and stayed that way 8 days.I took extre time in pre fligh and warm up temp. about 30 degrees. I had a little trobel getting started the ice was so thick on the grass it was like a brake.powered up and started roll out,it was great,got in the air fast.Everything was covered with ice just beautiful. I flew over the lakes,lots of tree damage,then north past Wood River. The 13500 watt feeder line was down as far as I could see both ways,this will not be up soon.Most all East and West power lines had down polls.The flight was just great, one I won't forget. Got about a hour flight,landed at 11 am 1/1/2007.Can anyone top this??? Lee
