Mornin' all.
I'm looking for any information on a member of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, one David James HANSON, born 23 Jan 1922, died 1 May 1944. He's commemorated at the Lee-On-Solent Memorial.
He was an old boy of the public school in Suffolk that employs me as archivist. For the last 6 years I've been all over the world, in a figurative way, tracing the lives, and appalling and often spectacular deaths, of 60 1st World War boys and 55 2nd World War boys who met their end saving this country, a place they wouldn't either recognise or approve of today. I'm with them there!
I'd be so grateful for any help.Best wishes to you all.

PS Scottish government cash should be available to protect at least part of the Crail Airfield from developers. Of course Mr Robertson wants to sell the land for building but I hope he's prepared to leave part (to be decided) of the airfield as it is. Maybe he'd like to help with the cost of restoration from the money he'll make when he sells the land!
