Mr Grandad Charles Edward Crocker 'Chick' served from 1945 to 1947. He has told me so many tales about his time on board and has fond memories of his tours to Norway and Ireland. My Grandad was just 17 when he joined up and trained at HMS Gosling. He's told me many times that when he turned 18 he was hung upside down in the rum store. I have some photographs of my grandad and fellow shipmates whilst touring in Norway and also one from the end of training at HMS Gosling. If anyone remembers 'Chick' I will be happy to hear from them.
