My grandad died on the 25th of October 2003 in Bolton, England, where he had lived for a good deal of his life. I've been unofficially put in charge of his old photgraphs and I'm finding loads from his time flying from the Vengence, and another one the Indomitable I think its called but I'll have to check. He told me many stories of his days with the RNAS as a TAG and he mentioned many names but more often than not he would follow a name with 'he's dead now'. I'm wondering if anyone knew him or can remember him. I know he did all his training at a place called Yarmouth in Canada. There's lots of photographs of other pilots and TAG's in their flying gear, all signed with lines like "Dear Ken, Happy Landings....Steve". Maybe some of them are you or your fathers, grandfathers or other relations. I shall of course be forwarding copies of the photo's to this board and the person who designed this site. One amazing photo is of a German U-Boat forced to surface after my grandad's plane had dropped depth charges on it. Anyway, I would gladly welcome replies to my email address housemusic007@hotmail.com OR lia00meb@shef.ac.uk
All the best, Mark Beaumont.
