Vengeance was my first ship, I joined her as a Signal Boy in April 1948. So, it was quite an emotional moment to see the Ships Bell at our last reunion. Now we can keep our fingers crossed that the 'Old Lady' will eventually make it home. I was serving in the RN Communication Staff in SS Gothic for the first Royal Commonwealth Tour in 1953/54, Vengeance was part of our escort during the Australian part of the tour, they took over from HMNZS Black Prince after we left Milford Sound.
