I currently serve in RM Band Plymouth and am trying to piece together the history of my violin. A musician in 1949 used it onboard HMS Vengeance and I would be interested to know anything about either the instrument itself (no. 1147 Lamberte-Humbert), the musician who used it or the kind of music it would have been used to play.
