VENGEANCE on 8/11/2006, 19:41:39, in reply to "ships bell" The bell is dated '1944' and to the best of my knowledge, it is the original, which went missing when the ship was loaned to the Royal Australian Navy in 1952. I did hear of a 'replacement bell' that was in the U.K. and I assume that this is the duplicate bell, which was restored to the ship when she was returned from the Royal Australian Navy in 1955, to the Royal Navy. If you can shed any more light or information on this, I would like to hear. Many Thanks.
