I have discovered a couple of photographs amongst the effects of a former pilot 582 Squadron, two photographs of members of the crew HMS Vengeance.
On the reverse photo 1:
HMS Vengeance :negative no g.200(M)k.20 30 07 1949
and negative G.203 (M) k.20 30/07/1949. photographic section.
Pictures show a ceremony at Edinburgh Castle. Royal Marines, Scottish Regiment and RAF and Marines and a Scottish Regiment marching up the hill to the Castle. I presume that the Marines are a detachment from HMS Vengeance. If HMS Vengeance has an Archivist or historian then I will donate them free of charge. I believe that the pilot in question was on the parade.
