Posted by Ron Davis 1) I joined the HMS. Vengeance Association on 4th January 1999, to meet up with the men who served along side my late Father during World War II, not only aboard the ship but with her two Squadrons also. 2) The web site was not published on the Internet until 1st April 2001, having taken 3 months previously to build (commencing end of December 2000).

Alan,
Just to clarify a couple of points here in reply to your Message Board Posting;
At that particular time, I was classed as a Member not an Associate. This is only a 'new phrase' which the Committee has recently brought into being along with other 'unwritten rules'.
Therefore, the latter part your posting which quoted,
"He was admitted through the service of his late father, and for his efforts with the Website" is not strictly correct.
I hope this clarifies these matters for you.
