Music downtown cancelled over possible storms, this makes no sense!

With the city owning the newly remodeled building the Mill, why wouldn't they just move the band right inside those big garage doors that face the blocked off street?
This could have been quite an event, but instead it appears as if money was left on the table. They could have gone on with the show and at the same time get a little return on their investment by opening up the bar, serve some drinks and make an evening of it, instead of calling off the whole thing. Isn't this the very reason they invested money and remodeled this building in the first place?
I'm not understanding why this place isn't opened up at every concert unless it is booked for that night. It sure seems like a big opportunity lost with a large crowd/audience right across the street, passing up the chance for this place to make a little money. The city can easily hire and pay a couple bartenders to make hundreds if not a thousand or more in liquor sales.
Why is this investment just sitting there empty not being used, especially with a concert line up all summer long when they could it could be making money? Who is making these decisions? Don't hate me for pointing out the obvious

I understand what you’re saying. Personally I don’t want the city running the bar on nights places like the Speakeasy, Tinsel Town and the new pizza place could be selling drinks. They have investments too.
As for why it’s sitting empty, I don’t know. I heard they just approved a contract with the woman who operates Tinsel Town and the new coffee shop on Johnson Road. Maybe she’s too busy right now with those ventures.
I hope to see a concert or comedy show there soon.they did not fail, because they did what their country asked of them....
