I don't know what to think about this place. I admit I've never eaten there. So I have no opinion on their food. But I did hear they have a bit of an attitude at times. I did hear a story that was being told about a customer trying to help them by drumming up some business for them and he made the mistake on a facebook post and tagged them.
Apparently this tag naming them had many people messaging them or bothering them with questions about their menu and prices and it pissed them off and started an argument between them and the person who thought they were doing them a favor.
Then over a month ago they announce to the public they are closing their Granite City location and relocating their business elsewhere. Then today there is a gofundme being shared by the owners where this business is asking for donations from the same people in the same town they vowed to be leaving.
A handful of people are supporting them even though they have admitted to be relocating to another town. Others, not so much. Many saying they would rather save their donations for a business who is invested in our town enough to remain here. They went far enough to tell the mayor and several others they were leaving Granite, why would anyone at this point give to this gofundme? I could be missing something here, and if so I would like to know what it is.
Gofundme froze the donations for the Ottawa truckers, what a sketchy outfit they are. They seem to be more of a political organization than anything else, so knowing that id be inclined to not support the restaurant for that reason alone. Perhaps however I'm being a little short-sided and who really knows what's going on with that or what people's motivations are for donating or not. My guess is they aren't going to get rich with it, so maybe just wish them well and let it go. All these punks would have a quick change of attitude if the cops just started cracking some skulls.
