But also tomorrow, at 10am, our town's youth football players and cheerleaders (our Tykes (5/6) and 10U (defending champions) teams) take the field for their first games of the season!
Come on out tomorrow (28AUG) morning and watch us play!
In the evening, head to Mastermind Vodka and get some spaghetti to help us raise funds (we are a 501(c)3 charitable org as well) for the organization.
Since I mentioned our 501(c)3 status, I will also ask that if you find the compulsion to do so you can donate through your work's charitable donation structure. Please review our mission statement below if you are interested and THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
We operate on a half-shoestring budget, in a sport that is constantly at odds with ignorance, with folks who already work 8-14 (plus) hours a day. Any little bit helps.
I know the world may feel like its going out of all of our control, I feel your pain, I've been boots on the ground and have sailed the world.
What I have learned, for what it's worth, is that none of this squabbling matters. It is a waste of energy that could be used for more fruitful, positive endeavors.
Think about the energy you are putting into the world, it really does matter.
That is just my view, take it or leave it. But I know that "controlling what I can control as best I can" has served me well, especially during times like this.
Have a great day/weekend!
Thank you
