And thanks to him, while some families of four could go to the game, you had more people outside the stadium begging for money.....but I digress on that point.

I love watching those old games, people just wore whatever into the park....some choosing Cardinal red, but whenever the camera pans on the crowd, people are just wearing whatever.

YOu walk in, get a beer, the only music is whatever Ernie Hays is playing....then a game happens..... beer cuts off right after the Budweiser song...so go and get one more...

I"m pretty sure we popped popcorn and filled a grocery bag to bring to Busch stadium a time or two...

Now fans have such A.D.D. that you cant even have a lull between innings without music blasting and some gimmick on the field or scoreboard.

Different time, and the league will find a way to capitalize on things that don't even matter like the 'loyalty' of fans, the 'classiness' of fans....what 'fanbase' has the most twitter likes and the such.

The MBA's and marketing majors and statisticians work overtime to find more ways of separating people from their money....

It doesn't even matter if a family of four can afford to go to a game....charge it and make sure they're all decked in OFFICIAL mlb gear while standing in the stands to impress their friends who may also be there.

    Different times.....
