Note however there are two bills
Bill 1: "It proposes banning red-light cameras in non-home rule communities...92 of the state’s 607 cameras that would come down, or 15%"
Bill 2:"includes home-rule municipalities in the ban – meaning the cameras would be outlawed throughout Illinois."
Who knows what will happen but according to the article these cameras have brought in over 1 billion dollars...and I wonder if any was applied to the pension liability problem?
