Wanna tip my cap to the new Economic Developer Archived Message

Great job so far ma’am...now if you can get commerce flowing without being impeded by timed traffic lights you’d make my year!

Seriously, great job from what I can see so far!

I’m not out of the woods in leaving my home town, as I was and am getting pretty frustrated with some things, and the little things bother me most. It’s shoot themselves in the foot stuff mostly.

I didn’t have to come back here, I CHOSE to. The least that can be done for people like me who have the capital to be anywhere they want and chose to stay, and ALL people of our town, is to not mess up the little things (low hanging fruit). It tells someone like me they don’t respect my time enough to take their time to make things right.

It seems to me that our Economic Developer is a good example of movement toward making our town better (along with things picking up as steel mill revenue ripples through the community) by bringing in all these businesses I’m seeing (and the new Popeyes too).

“You’re just bragging about what you got!” No, I’m not. I’m stating a fact. Myself and many others chose to come back because we believe in and love our town (some of us have been to GREAT places to sprout roots, but still come back).

No easier way to see capital go (outside of the folks connected, those parasites) than to not be able to manage the simple things that possibly more appealing by default towns offer.

“LEAVE IT THEN! “. Oh, I still may...my kids don’t have much time and I’m still looking at jobs that relocate me (paid) to get out of here. And I’m not the only one.

I still want to see how it goes. There is still LOADS more work to convince me; but I’m not actively watching to see if it’s time to ”strike” and move like I was until recently (not that it would matter; I’m just one guy expressing an opinion).

Y’all stay warm out there. Again. Good job ma’am
