I know a lot of people hate this guy from this area, but he wanted a new stadium and the city wouldnt budge so he bolted. The city lost two football teams because of business disagreements, it happens. Kroenke didnt have to leave, but he terms of the lease agreement were not met , so he checked out also. Kroenke isnt exactly a straight shooter himself, so he took a few short cuts to help quicken his exit, and he just didnt care. IMO St. Louis just never was a real good football city, but baseball and hockey is a different story altogether. Maybe this area can take on an NBA team, but it wouldnt be my first choice to move to if i owned a team.
My dad hated Bidwill for leaving because he wanted a team here that he could watch, but deep down i think he knew it was a good business decision. The owners arent in love with any location, though they of course favor some over others, they want the best bang for their dollar just like everyone else does.
