Speaking of Zone - My car was sluggish to start last week, so I made a trip to Auto Zone to see if they could test the battery/alternator.
After waiting nearly 20 minutes, a young gent was able to assist me on the lot. As my hood was popped, a car pulled in next to me and the man told the young gent that his car needed testing too.
The pushy customer then was talking to the Auto Zone employee about his car while he was trying to test mine. The young employee was getting a little overwhelmed, especially when a couple of shameless goon heads pulled in on the other side of me, and popped their hoods hollering demands.
As for me, I was getting ready to lock and load (sarcasm) and demand that they disperse or go to the back of the line, just like I did.
Anyway, the man at my left, all dressed in white and gold jewelery began calling me "Moma" while explaining to me that my battery was just fine, I just needed to turn off my cell phone, drop the cooling system down a notch or two so I wouldn't drain my battery .. wtFREAK!
Last nerve frayed, I told him I was not his MOMA! He then began calling me "BABY" .. and I calmly told him I was not his "BABY" either. He then opened his arms wide and walked toward me requesting a hug - are you kidding me?
That's when I told him that if he took one more step into my space, he would be coming in hunched over, eyes and mouth wide open, silent as a church mouse, clutching his jewels and then drop to his knees before me.
I then told the little geeky employee, nevermind, closed my hood, started my car, still a little sluggish and drove down to O'Reilly's where my battery tested bad. I bought a new one, it was installed on the lot and the price was matched with a competitor.
