Ladies and gents, don't worry about the loss of businesses or a flood. Worry about illiterate, misinformed people making ridiculous comments while three city reps were trying to offer a path of responsive actions. God help this town with people like this. I didn't post the names to save the embarrassment for these people.

Home owners covers zero. We have $20,000 in damage.

Well here's an idea. We've know for quite some time that we're in a flood plain. If you don't have flood insurance, you've been asleep at the wheel.

Sorry for years of neglect, here is a bucket with some Windex and paperwork for a personal loan.”

So this is directed at the fact that our local fire department made cleaning kits available to people who might not be able to afford them. Yet, let's still gripe.

Would you be laughing and smiling if it was your home??????? Cleaning supplies doesnt fix itl

Well dingbat, they weren't laughing at the situation. They were trying to ease the tensions and lighten the mood a little.

They don't outsource the ditch. The metro east sanitary district, a totally separate taxing body operates the ditch. And they're not full. They are holding water but they usually do.

What non for profits? We have not see one person on our street. Which streets are volunteers attending to? No ONE has been on Fairoaks Drive.

It's been all over the news and internet that volunteer groups of church people and others are available.

Water in your basement doesn’t compare to raw sewage and used condoms.

Today's big winner. Did you really get close enough to see if it was a used rubber honey? Maybe your hubby has been playing around.

Look, the city is trying to help. We all suffered some damage. We all had water intrusion. Some of us cleaned up, threw away our debris and were smart enough to save receipts and take lots of pictures. I lost a stuffed chair that was my dad's. It has no monetary value. I have to suck it up and move on. As do all the complainers.
