I remember the good old days when Granite City was the last one that would appear on the list, perhaps the last one before City of St. Louis schools.

Granite City is flat...save a couple man (and woman) made overpasses... there is NO topography and the roads are straightforward. There are a number of four lane roads within a half mile of every single citizen. These kids should be in school up to about 5 inches of snow.

There is no comparison to districts.... like Alton, where a number of streets are situated on a sharp grade. Edwardsville not only has topography, but takes in a large amount of county roads. I have driven many of them, and some are dangerous on bright sunny summer dates.

None of those types of roads exist in District 9..

Granite City is different in that respect...

It's totally understandable if Granite City is in session when most schools are closed.

Score a win for the Academic Warriors, give them more days of school....and keep the little hoodlums off the streets... If school is called, send em anyway.
