Just speculation, but a more likely story is that Eavenson hired a Nurse Practioner and expected Lupardas to supervise without increasing his pay or otherwise compensating him. In IL a Nurse Practioner requires MD supervision, which means Lupardas would be taking on a bigger workload to support an NP.
