    There is no rational explanation for her behavior other than sheer unreasonable anger. She was dealing with a five year old child who will forever remember the shame and embarrassment she caused him.
    I cannot imagine any version she might come up with that would excuse this. Teachers bank on being believed over a child, especially a five year old child. There was many other ways for this problem to have been dealt with. It has left a lasting impression not only the little boy it happened to, but also on the mortified five year old who breathlessly and excitedly told me all about it right after school that day. She did cover herself though, because at the end of the day she pulled it out of the trashcan so she could say it didn't happen. Still inexcusable. That little boy probably sat there all day worrying about that pencil box and its contents laying in the trash. I hope she reads this and realizes what a hind end she made out of herself that day. And what lesson she thinks she taught her class.
