Just so you know, as soon as the motorcade passed by, many of those peaceful protestors from Civic Park rushed the greeters that remained on 19th Street, screaming "FACISTS! FACISTS!" Verbally attacking some young woman, screaming FXXX YOU! FXXXYOU! In her face. Over and over. I hightailed it at that point.
I actually saw a young woman with a sign, professionally generated, white font on blue background, that read "TRUMP RAPES CHILDREN". Are you reading that? "TRUMP RAPES CHILDREN".
Integrity meter you say? The mayor was not there because he cannot pull off a coherent live interview to save his life. He wasn't about to brandish his lack of effective communication skills for the entire world to see. But maybe he wasn't even invited in the first place..which would tickle me pink. And maybe that is why he refused to allow the Fire Department to hang an American flag for the president. Maybe that's why there wasn't a single decoration or display of patriotism in this city other than what was brought in by the President's supporters.
His patsy James Amos actually dressed for the occasion but looked lost, lonely, confused and bewildered as he milled through the crowd of supporters. I think he was shocked at the number of supporters there for our President. Apparently, James wasn't invited to listen to the speech inside the mill either.
After rushing to watch the live stream of the speech inside the mill on my phone, I watched 500 steel workers clapping and cheering while standing on their feet, workers who seemed to embrace our President no matter how they've been instructed not to by their union.
And strangely enough, while most were holding up a camera taking video of his speech, I didn't see a one with a "TRUMP RAPES CHILDREN" sign. Can you imagine that?
I especially loved how the crowd ROARED when he called out the biased media.
All in all, it was more than I expected. The Trump supporters outnumbered the protestors ten to one, and that's a fact.
And Trump supporters in Madison County outnumber the raging lunatic left by a wide margin...after all, Trump won this county by seven thousand votes in 2016. I can't wait to see what happens in 2020. The Silent Majority folks, the Silent Majority is alive and RED in Granite City.
