We all got together in our usual spot for Granite's fireworks display as we do every year. This year we heard no music and the very first firework shot into the air to begin what is usually a spectacular show, looked like something my 17 year old would set off in our back yard.
What the heck happened this year? Not a big enough budget, or a new company possibly hired. For years the city has outdone itself on the 4th with the display. Every surrounding town will take a pass on their own displays to attend ours.
Yesterday was quite a disappointment compared to what we have became accustomed to seeing. Years past, many times throughout the show, we would think it was the beginning of the grand finale, and it was only Granite doing their fireworks display steps above all other surrounding towns. It has always been quite spectacular, last night, not so much.
I guess all good things must come to an end. I just hate to see this reliable tradition we always looked so forward to, be downgraded so drastically.
