When our city's populations is over sixty percent renters, you will never get a decent turnout. Only if their HUD subsidized housing or LINK benefits were in jeopardy, would they take the time to go into the voting booth.
We might have more rehab and home improvement to the run down homes if it wasn't for that silly ordinance about the rehabber being required to live in the home for a minimum amount of time before putting the house on the market. We have our council to thank for that stupidity.
