"Im very touched however at the concern that the other party has over the Republicans being in shambles, 3Dees concern is heartwarming. "
Should we not want both parties sending their best to represent their various platforms?
When it's bad for the Republicans, it's not necessarily good for the Democrats?
Didn't the presidential election teach us that it really wasn't that good for either side. Even if it seemed like a Republican, wasn't it Pyrrhic (costly) at best?
It was for voters on both sides who was stink and who was the hot mess. More people felt Trump was the hot mess.....but in the right places on the map, they felt it was Hillary.
We gotta get out of that way of thinking.
Bad on the Republicans is bad for everyone....as is a bad Democrat.
I care deeply about the Republican party...and the Democratic party.
Get in good candidates.
Like I say, I'd take a Principled Republican over a machine Democrat in State Politics.... Illinois had some solid Republican governors that led us through a pretty steady time...sometimes having to work with Democratic leadership to get things done.
Blagojevich was horrible --- Pat Quinn was weak..
No party should ever get too comfortable---nor any one person...
If John Kasich were the Republican nominee, it would have been my first Republican vote for President since 2000. Although the best solution would have been a repeal of the 22nd Amendment and an Obama third term. :D The GOP picked goofy....the worst possible decision...and I couldn't go along with goofy...so I did what I had to do.
