    SPECIAL MEETING

    November 1, 2017

    7:00 p.m.

From the Township website: Notice of special meeting is being called by the Supervisor of Nameoki Township.

For purposes of passing an ordinance authorizing Nameoki Township to enter into a subrecipient agreement with Madison County, Illinois to borrow funds.

Authorizing? The work has already begun. I think Mr. Presswood needs to realize that he is not the Supreme Leader over there at the Township. Unlike a municipality, the supervisor and board answer to the corporate powers of the Township, and the corporate powers to be, my good people, are the registered voters within the Township.

We have a right to view the scope, including any and all direct cost of the work being done that requires a debt of $75,000.00 to Madison County. There is nothing in the budget for this fiscal year, that I could decipher, to approve this type of expenditure -
