You know, it's really sad. If my family didn't live within our budget, we fell behind in paying bills. If we fell behind in paying bills, we had to cut expenses elsewhere until we got caught up. In my business, we had to live within a budget. If we had a decline in revenue or a major increase in operating costs, employees didn't get raises and we cut out some of the perks. Yet in our beloved state of Illinois, we can pass budgets for years with so much pork in them they oink and we continue to spend into a huge deficit. Then, we put it on the backs of the taxpayers. Some will blame this on Rauner. He wanted a balanced budget. Shame on him. Some will blame it on teachers, firefighters, etc... and their pensions which THEY paid into. What we have in Illinois are power hungry crooks like Madigan and Blagoevich. They take everything they can from the taxpayers while they line their pockets. Eventually someone will unseat Madigan. He's a very dangerous man and only in Illinois would he keep getting elected with false promises. I'm glad I'm retired and don't have a pension at risk. I'm glad my kids are setting up shop in other states and won't have to endure this. I'm glad my home is paid for and my kids will get out of it what they can. Illinois died this evening. Madigan stuck the knife into the back of the state and finished off what he and his cronies have done for years. Pathetic little POS.
