    So Sad Archived Message

Drove around town today and saw so many houses that could be nice if the owners gave a damn. When they first built the homes along Maryville Road between Clark and Pontoon, they looked like such nice places. Driving by today, there are a couple that have just been let go. The last one on the left next to the St. Elizabeth's fields has foot high grass, a broken fence and landscape that's pathetic. The one next to it is almost as bad and a few doors down looks like a repo unit.

Then you turn right onto Pontoon Road and the last house before the tracks on the right looks like a ghetto. Christmas lights still hanging off the roof. I wanted to get out of the car and yank them down myself but I might have tripped over the crap in the driveway. Then I went down Ivy, one time a very nicely kept neighborhood and saw similar.

It's so sad that people don't put any effort into their property. You buy a nice home and let it go to hell. You have enough money to hang Christmas lights on your home but you're too lazy to take them down before June 16.

Come on people, where's the pride? The streets I mentioned are examples of others in the same boat. Those little homes on Pontoon Road, when built were cute little starter homes. Now they look terrible.

    Show some pride.
