I just had to stir it up a little bit.

Basically, one thing I learned a while back is to really stay away from the Carnival area - and if I want to be in the beer area, to be prepared.

I still like to think that St. E pic has become the homecoming of sorts - where people from long ago can run into each other again.

There is a sense of 'quality control' that it sounds like they're trying to instill -- but try as you may -- there comes a certain point where prohibition of entry truly screams discrimination.

Or maybe it should just be a 'Catholics only' event, and people can present their Baptismal records at the door. That would be quite a hoot -- but I imagine secretaries at area churches would not like my suggestion.

It would be a legal way to discriminate -- and it would exclude a lot of people who seem to be offensive to everyone.

Even better -- only those who are in 'good standing' with regular attendance, support, and whose marriages are kosher with the church.

Let's see how much fun we can have now.

Otherwise --- there is little they can do as long as they continue to try to keep people in line and ensure safety.
