I believe, somehow, it will provide relieve during heavy rains to the sanitary sewer system in the area. Glen carbon combines sanitary and storm sewers. When there is a heavy rain, sewers back up in certain areas of pontoon beach. These residents have been fighting this issue for years. Some installed check valves in their sewer lines, which keeps the back up from happening in their basements, but still does not allow them to flush, due to the high pressure backing up..... There is some breaches in the system allowing storm water to enter, plus the glen carbon comes down our way... i pray this helps for those residents that have been fighting for so long...
