I've been to several meetings where Nick was there.
I've always thought him a concerned citizen at the meetings, sometimes disruptive perhaps, and maybe not going with Robert's Rules of Order, but a resident with concerns, anyway.
He spoke to one of our elected officials at a recent meeting with direct accusations of impropriety from his department. Maybe he's right, maybe not. The safety issue he had objected to seems to have been a personal choice of the employee involved.
But, at one of the previous meetings, Nick had walked up to the front table and asked Randy V. directly to his face about rumored inappropriate checks written from the General Assistance Fund.
And, I also heard Randy V. vehemently deny to him (and to the rest of us) the existence of any such checks.
Of all the things I've heard and seen Nick object to both on here and at the township meetings, (maybe I missed something because I haven't read all of the postings), I haven't seen or heard him say anything about the fact that Randy V. LIED to him (and to the rest of us), blatantly and straight-faced, when he asked him a direct question in a meeting. It was during a meeting, so it should be in the minutes.
But, if it had been ME that Mr. V. had so easily and blatantly lied to (lol, and it HAS been, before), I would be screaming THAT from the rooftops, Nick. (Right, Charlie, Dan? You guys know.) That shit doesn't go unchallenged.
But you don't care about being directly lied to in front of a whole room of people?? And, you even bought ads in the Advantage Newspaper for his most staunch supporters, including the opponent of the good man you so rudely criticized?
Your township meeting agenda of "concerned citizen" has a few holes in it...js.
And Nick, please lets talk in private sometime. I'll gladly tell you some true, sickening stories about what happens to regular people who put the wrong signs in their yards.
And, some facts about some of those who have and have had power to do real harm to good people.
