I've been looking at these posts. I had to do some checking on these money orders. My neighbor is an Insurance Broker. I have went to great lengths to find out why the General Assistant was getting a money order to pay her health insurance. Upon checking the official General Assistance Rules. It is a completely different department than the Township's main office. The employee's pay, insurance, office supplies and the recipients monies all come out of that fund. With that being said my neighbor informed me that when an employee has health insurance through the Health Care Market Place it cannot be paid with a company check. Reason being, the market place insurance price is less than a group police would cost. This is set up by the broker to save employers money. In my research, I have found many different companies did this and are doing this money order payment instead of reimbursing their employees. Do your own checking on this. We can thank Obama Care for this.
