HC, I was always very glad to hear from AlderDan. I truly think other aldermen put pressure on him to not respond. That's sad because he articulated his responses in a way that you could understand the issue and he never ducked from things. Conversely, I must have the two lamest aldermen on the council. Davis has never done anything and since the Mayor appointed Jackstadt, he's not been much better. Say what you want about Judy Whitaker but when she was the alderperson out here we were always informed about city business via a newsletter. Some of these guys are on the board simply for the money they're paid. As for this ridiculous new ordinance that locks the hands of someone who wants to remodel houses, it will eventually be challenged. Can you seriously enslave someone to live in a house the build? I thought sharecropping days were over. Clearly there was an underlying reason for this action. Easier for the zoning department? Keeping out the "wrong" element? Where there's smoke there's usually fire. I would really like to see where this came from. Come on AlderDan, don't let me down. LOL
