I was summoned to duty? hang on to your hat, sometimes I feel the police are so overwhelmed that they just go with the idea that "hey, crime has to be somewhere", I hope not, used to be in the 22 hundred block of washington ave. Rick Lesko, owner of Sulllies had that burden to battle for years. Rentals, another story there, a 5 day eviction notice(notarized)has to be delivered to the wonderful loser,you have to fill it out very correctly, and then on the 11th day, if they havent paid, you have to do down and pay 120 to the court in granite city. The "defendant" now, lol, will get a notice in about 3 weeks to apear in court to enter his plea. Naturally he will say he dont owe you the money and complain how bad a shape the place is in to avoid payment. A court date will be set in about 3 more weeks and you both will have to be there. The judge will ask you both to settle your difference before he trys the case, (hopefully the defendant dont ask for a jury trial) that adds weeks to the process. He will have to show cause that he has or hasnt paid, he will cry, quote scriptcures, maybe appear in a wheel chair,wear his worst dirty clothes. The judge will give him 10 days to vacate. If he dont, you have to go to the sheriffs office, pay another 150, and the sheriff will go give him another 5-10 days to move. If he dont then, you have to go move his stuff out yourself, pay storage on it for 6 months, then run adds in the paper that you are going to throw it away. Dont think the sheriff is going to move it, lol, helps to have a donut for the police also. Any one want to buy 50 pieces of rental property. Unfortunatly, the courts are in favor of the renters, and its getting worse. Al Capone had it figgered out, he said you can get more done with a kind word and a gun, than just a kind word. hes my hero, the worse thing you can do is believe all the lies, promises, the tears, sexual favors, until 4-6 more months are wasted. im wore out, time fer a nap. hope this heps.
