Whisker, I guarantee you that an audit could have been conducted. Please give some credit to the profession.

My belief is one of several things happened.

1.) Don't forget the teachers were looking for a raise during the time of the request.
2.) Coincidentally (lmao) the mother of the union president used it as her political rally point and did I mention she lost?
3.) The request was only made by a small amount of teachers. From my understanding through several teaching friends, this was mainly a complaint at the middle and high school level in retaliation for some cuts that had been made.
4.) You have to wonder why it was dropped when they went to so much trouble to gain media attention. I mean did they even bother to call good old Elliot?
5.) There was no point because the teachers already had the audit from a very reputable firm, had already read said audit and some, perhaps a few in the math and business departments, understood the context of the audit.
6.) Mrs. Knogl lost so there was no point for her son, the union President to stir up any more crap about it.

I don't like games at the expense of the taxpayers. Had this new audit been conducted and had the new audit proven nothing, I certainly would hope the noble teacher leadership would have paid for it.

I know what audits of my former businesses cost and I can only imagine how much one cost for a public entity. A witch hunt and wasting money don't seem like a good idea for a district in financial trouble.
