I don't think "pro-choice" and "family values" go together. Pro choice screams "I care more about myself than a potential family"
I myself, really don't mind woking more than 40 hours it week, it pays well to do so, and I like most people I get vacation time, even with out a union or government mandate (10 holidays and my birthday too). In fact, I must take at least 2 week of my vacation, I only have the option to sell the rest back after I've used 80 hours of it. I would be pissed off if I was told by Uncle Sam I could only work 40. Also, how is that going to help those who aren't as fortunate to earn as much per hour as me, how can they make it with out working more than 40?
Lets talk about family values. He said nothing about stoping the problem of men being mere sperm donors, a much bigger problem, Quite possibly the biggest real problem this Nation faces. Boys growing up with out a father. Girls growing up with a Mom thats never around because they only have a "baby daddy" and not a dad, who is helping with or making the families income. If you want to fix one problem, thats the problem to fix. I'm not saying that a gay couple can't raise a child, I'm saying a child ought have at least two people caring for them, loving them unconditionally, to stand a shot at success.
As far as his claims about "every other first world country..." I'll quote my Mom, "If every one else was jumping off a bridge, would you?" (I would quite often answer, How high is it, and how deep is the water below?)
