It's really sad the way the younger gens were raised. I am only 32... but I was raised right. My father taught me every hard working value I have.

The past three years, I worked nothing but straight overtime. 60 to 72 hour weeks. I still went home and: mowed, planted, watered, cleaned and even cooked.

My mower broke last spring and what happened? My dad went, picked out and purchased a brand new mower for me for my birthday. One of the most special things my dad has ever done for me. Even when that man was walking around with an artificial heart pump.. he took the time to do that for me. (I tried to never ask of my parents, he knew how stressed I was at the time, so he wanted to do something for me.) He was so excited to get it started and see how it cut.

I try to instill values into my step children and teach them responsibility that my dad taught me. I worry for the younger gens. Just sad.
