Early voting opens next Monday at the Township Hall as well as other locations in Madison County. You can obtain other location information through the County Clerk's office.
This is really a great convenience that should encourage a higher vote turnout. It's had to use the excuse, "I don't have time", when we're given all this extra time.
I hope you all take advantage of your right to vote. It's one of the last voices you as an American have. Use it.
I personally encourage you to support the school issue. I've given it some deep thought and I believe it is in the best interest of the community, not just the school district.
If it passes, I'll be watching to see if our trust is honored by the district and board. I would hope if the extra funds are provided that the unions and the board don't see it as carte blanch for negotiations in a couple of years.
This is a pivotal election for our city. If you vote no, you are standing for your cause. If you vote yes, you are standing for the children. If you don't vote, you are simply sitting on your a$$ and that gets no one nowhere.
