" All of us on this site who choose to remain anonymous are nothing more then people with opinions. Clear enough?" Yes, that keeps us all on the same playing field. Thank you. I believe you under estimate the hunger and desire of the unemployed in the surrounding areas. I am not naive to the extent that I believe we could bust the teacher's union, hardly. But, I do believe we could temporarily fill all the positions of every person that may choose to walk off the job, quick enough and efficiently enough to not allow these people to hold the education of the city's children hostage. "A strike in this town tore it apart the last two times. It took years to get rid of the hard feelings." Oh don't believe those hard feelings are completely gone. I also think people are so fed up and tired of this situation, over spending with no accountability from the district that they are not going to approve this tax increase and agree to hand over more money. Just as Podo said earlier, there has to be some showing of good faith. Everyone knows better than to trust the words of this district again. History always repeats itself, just last year is a prime example. There has to be some concessions made and that means a lot more than just empty promises.
