If you would have bothered to read my post from 3:44 you would already have some of the answers to these questions. The audience I have here is big enough and bigger than the meetings you speak of. " If the referendum fails, Mr. Greenwald is still going to be the CEO of the district and he will still be making his salary." Well of course he will and quite possibly only until his three year contract is up. "If the referendum fails, teachers will still make the money they do." Of course they will, until their contract is back up for negotiation. "They'll just have more kids in their classrooms. Not all that big of a deal to many of them." Exactly, so let us start making the hard choices right here since you brought this up. I agree with you and here is where the district can start saving some money. I say right out of the gate, let's go ahead and almost, if not double those class sizes. That allows the district to lay off and do away with many teaching positions. That would add up to a substantial amount of money! Then let's renegotiate those custodian contracts, and cooks/cafeteria workers and the secretary contracts. Look at the potential and just think, we haven't even touched the Superintendent's office yet and all those Department heads and employees. Don't think for one minute that these seven board members you speak of want to lose their positions, although they are unpaid positions these members realize the undocumented benefits that come along with them. These members are easily replaced at election time and the voters will remember how these members approved salary hikes while the district was drowning in debt. "If you don't run, you can continue to show up on anonymous web sites and talk about what you do and don't know, what you do and don't like and how you would but won't change it. That makes you worth nothing more than your opinion." And absolutely no different than you. But, let us also take this one, one step further since you felt the need to address this anonymous issue and call me out for it. I'll make a deal with you Opinionated and Clancey. Let all three of us come out of the closet, shall we? Come out, come out whoever you are! I'm game, are you? We can ask the owners of this web site to verify our identities, just to keep us all honest.
