Had the privilege of meeting the author of the book and soon to be movie tonight at the high school. They were honoring the 1940 state basketball championship team. Only stayed for the first half because the Warrior game unfortunately wasn't too entertaining but it was nice to see two of those state champion players who were recognized prior to the game.
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie when it comes out.
Very disappointed in a large part of the crowd who didn't give these fine older gentlemen a standing ovation. Most of the crowd rose to their feet when they introduced the old players and their families but one particular "group" felt it was better to sit on their asses showing no respect. Maybe someone should have said, "Stand Up, Don't Shoot".
