There is a question on the ballot Tuesday for GC residents involving rather or not the city should be allowed to sell general obligation bonds to pay help fund the police and fire pension funds.
This is an ADVISORY question only. You are not actually voting for an increase but giving the city your opinion as to rather or not they should sell these bonds.
Even if we vote this down the city can proceed with the sale of bonds. I'm not sure why they would spend the money to put this on the ballot knowing they are only seeking opinion.
